Field trips to the Museum

The Artful Academy - Classes for all ages!
Dates: April 24. May 1, 8 and 29.
Times: Thursday classes: 10:30–11:20 a.m. (PreK - Kindergarten), 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. (ages 5-10 years old) OR 1:00–3:00 p.m. (ages 11 and up) Saturday Class 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. (all ages)
Cost: $20.00 per session (Limited seating – registration and prepayment required)
Location: Museum of Fulton County
The Artful Academy at the Museum is a new opportunity for children and adults to participate in history-inspired art lessons at the museum! During these hands-on classes, instructor Ms. Lindsee will offer a bite-sized history and art lesson for all ages! The $20 registration fee includes all supplies and admission to the museum on the day of the class. Register online or call 419.337.7922.
April 24
• 10:30-11:20 (Ages 3-6) Learn the letter D at the Museum! We will explore the museum, do creative letter activities and a comprehensive art project connected to what we found in the museum.
• 11:30-12:30 (Ages 5-10) New Country Study: Ireland (*Lessons and projects for this age group and are same as the 1 PM class, but simplified for restless little artists!)
• 1:00-3:00 (Ages 11+) New Country Study: Ireland – Our ancestors have immigrated from all around the world. We will be doing a different country study each month, learning all about culture, foods, and art. This month we will be learning about Ireland!
Thursday, May 1
• 10:30-11:20 (Ages 3-6) Learn the letter A at the Museum! We will explore the museum, do creative letter activities, and a comprehensive art project connected to what we found in the museum.
• 11:30-12:30 (Ages 5-10) Timeline Series: Frontier Faith (1836-1860) (*Lessons and projects for this age group are the same as the 1 PM class, but simplified for restless little artists!)
• 1:00-3:00 (Ages 11+) Timeline series: Frontier Faith (1836-1860)
In this class, we will be discussing the frontier lifestyle and explaining what forging is. We will also be exploring nature crafting with CLAY!
Thursday, May 8
• 10:30-11:20 (Ages 3-6) Learn the letter B at the Museum! We will explore the museum, do creative letter activities, and a comprehensive art project connected to what we found in the museum.
• 11:30-12:30 (Ages 5-10) Timeline series: Fighting for Freedom (1861-1865) (*Lessons and projects for this age group are the same as the 1 PM class, but simplified for restless little artists!)
• 1:00-3:00 (Ages 11+) Timeline series: Fighting for Freedom (1861-1865) Join us for learning about the divide in our country during the Civil War. We will be discussing the Underground Railroad and looking at the "freedom-quilt code" theory with a fun weaving project.

• 1:00-3:00 (All Ages Welcome!) New Country Study: Belgium – Our ancestors have immigrated from all around the world. We will be doing a different country study each month, learning all about culture, foods, and art. This month we will be learning about Belgium!
